The Event Tech Tribe, the federation of best-in-craft event tech companies, earlier this month announced UNITE’18 - their event tech user un-conference. Now they’re set to wow everyone with the launch of new products and some sharp new tech experiences.
San Francisco based data technology company, InsightXM has just unveiled a new insights package tailored exclusively for event planners and marketers wanting to experience powerful data analytics at the push of a button. Titled ‘Essentials’, the package provides a fixed price, quick access-to-data analytics tool that helps better understand event audiences, uncover hidden opportunities, and identify weaknesses.
After launching their parent product: InsightXM at IMEX America in Las Vegas in October, the company accelerated development of their bespoke tool with the goal of launching it in time for the new year, “We’ve learned a lot from interacting with event planners at IMEX and within the Tribe. The Essentials product is our answer to the age old issue that event professionals keep facing: not knowing where to start when it comes to pulling insights from their event data,” explained InsightXM CEO Brent Pearson.
InsightXM joined event technology collaborative, The Event Tech Tribe in June this year and are expanding on the partnership with the launch of this new package. “What’s different about the Essentials platform is that it easily integrates with all of the Tribe members as well as two more data sources selected by the customer,” explained Pearson. “As someone who has planned many events myself, I know how liberating it will be for others to view key metrics, drill down into audience responses and work with pre-defined graphs, charts and dashboards!” exclaimed Event Tech Tribe COO, Marie-Claire Andrews.
To make things even simpler, access to the platform is available for a simple annual price and can be activated when creating an event inside event registration provider, Swoogo. “Brent has worked closely with us as he developed this fantastic next-level analytics package that I know Swoogo and Tribe customers are going to find extremely valuable,” said Swoogo founder Leonora Valvo.

The Event Tech Tribe is announcing the launch of InsightXM, their newest technology offering created for event marketers and planners. InsightXM is an event intelligence platform that captures, analyzes and visualizes event data to better inform business decisions. It will act as a centralized focal point for data from all the current Tribe products. “The platform will effectively consolidate all the disconnected data that event professionals get bombarded with. It’s not only huge for us, but it’s game changing for the industry,” said Leonora Valvo, CEO of Swoogo and founding Tribe leader.
InsightXM will connect to existing Tribe members, Swoogo, Hubb, TRC, and Glisser, and will provide actionable insights about events in a single, intuitive dashboard. “Data Science is the fastest growing technology in the event tech ecosystem, yet nobody has really nailed how to make sense of the copious amounts of information produced before, during and after events. InsightXM and its deep connection to the entire Tribe changes that,” said TRC founder Greg Lazzaro.
The platform, which is set to be unveiled at IMEX America in October, has undergone an extensive year of research and development to optimize for event planners and marketers. “We’ve been pouring huge resources into the InsightXM platform this past year. Along with Tribe data, we’re building integrations with key business marketing tools and CRMs so we can provide event professionals with insights that are both holistic and useful,” said InsightXM CEO Brent Pearson.
Originally the brainchild of Swoogo’s Leonora Valvo, the data science platform has since been acquired by Pearson who is excited to be preparing the product for it’s re-launch in October. “Brent is the perfect person to be leading InsightXM into it’s new chapter, and we’re so proud to be welcoming their expertise into the Tribe,” said Valvo.
The Tribe, which was formed in 2016, now consists of five event technology providers that connect to one another via multi-directional APIs. It offers event planners an alternative to traditional ‘all-in-one’ event technology houses. “We’re a collaborative ensemble of best-in-craft event technologies that have chosen to work together technically, but more importantly to collaborate at a client level,” they explain on their website.
The Event Tech Tribe will be exhibiting at IMEX America in Las Vegas in October where they will be unveiling the brand new InsightXM platform and showcasing how the Tribe approach gives event planners an alternative option. “It’s 2017! Event planners shouldn’t have to compromise on average technology just to ensure their systems talk to each other,” said Marie-Claire Andrews, who was brought on to manage the growth of the Tribe earlier in 2017. “The Tribe is here to disrupt that. We can’t wait to show event professionals at IMEX the possibilities!” she added.
