Event Tech Tribe partners with best-in-craft GDPR team to tackle compliance

The Event Tech Tribe is pleased to announce a partnership with business transformation consultancy Fileom to ensure its family of best-in-craft event technology companies comply with the ongoing demands of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The GDPR, which came into effect on May 25 2018, extends the data protection rights of EU citizens and residents while setting out requirements for how organisations collect, process, store and share personal data. It also embeds the concept of data protection by design and the use of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), an essential tool in minimising privacy risks and building trust.

Marie-Claire Andrews, Director of Operations for the Tribe, said “The Tribe philosophy is about being the best in our niche, so, as we take our responsibilities under the GDPR so seriously, it was key that we found a specialist partner to ensure we’re doing the absolute best we can as an organization and for our customers”

Amit Khanna, Co-Founder of Fileom, said “We are very excited to be joining forces and our partnership will allow the Event Tech Tribe to embed DPIA-as-a-service to customers. Events technology is always evolving and a DPIA helps build trust, improve client engagement and potentially save a lot of time and resources while complying with the GDPR. We look forward to applying our in-depth sector experience and the Event Tech Tribe’s focus on best-of-breed solutions and strategic thinking complements our approach.”

Event Tech Tribe announces launch of event analytics platform, InsightXM

The Event Tech Tribe is announcing the launch of InsightXM, their newest technology offering created for event marketers and planners. InsightXM is an event intelligence platform that captures, analyzes and visualizes event data to better inform business decisions.  It will act as a centralized focal point for data from all the current Tribe products. “The platform will effectively consolidate all the disconnected data that event professionals get bombarded with. It’s not only huge for us, but it’s game changing for the industry,” said Leonora Valvo, CEO of Swoogo and founding Tribe leader.

InsightXM will connect to existing Tribe members, Swoogo, Hubb, TRC, and Glisser, and will provide actionable insights about events in a single, intuitive dashboard. “Data Science is the fastest growing technology in the event tech ecosystem, yet nobody has really nailed how to make sense of the copious amounts of information produced before, during and after events. InsightXM and its deep connection to the entire Tribe changes that,” said TRC founder Greg Lazzaro.

The platform, which is set to be unveiled at IMEX America in October, has undergone an extensive year of research and development to optimize for event planners and marketers. “We’ve been pouring huge resources into the InsightXM platform this past year. Along with Tribe data, we’re building integrations with key business marketing tools and CRMs so we can provide event professionals with insights that are both holistic and useful,” said InsightXM CEO Brent Pearson.

Originally the brainchild of Swoogo’s Leonora Valvo, the data science platform has since been acquired by Pearson who is excited to be preparing the product for it’s re-launch in October. “Brent is the perfect person to be leading InsightXM into it’s new chapter, and we’re so proud to be welcoming their expertise into the Tribe,” said Valvo.

The Tribe, which was formed in 2016, now consists of five event technology providers that connect to one another via multi-directional APIs.  It offers event planners an alternative to traditional ‘all-in-one’ event technology houses. “We’re a collaborative ensemble of best-in-craft event technologies that have chosen to work together technically, but more importantly to collaborate at a client level,” they explain on their website.

The Event Tech Tribe will be exhibiting at IMEX America in Las Vegas in October where they will be unveiling the brand new InsightXM platform and showcasing how the Tribe approach gives event planners an alternative option. “It’s 2017! Event planners shouldn’t have to compromise on average technology just to ensure their systems talk to each other,” said Marie-Claire Andrews, who was brought on to manage the growth of the Tribe earlier in 2017. “The Tribe is here to disrupt that. We can’t wait to show event professionals at IMEX the possibilities!” she added.
